ICC World Cup 2023 – Anamorphic Display Content for IndusInd Bank

Created a high-impact, physics-driven anamorphic animation for IndusInd Bank during the ICC World Cup 2023, combining motion design with 3D perspective illusions to captivate audiences in public spaces.

Problem :

IndusInd Bank wanted to stand out during the ICC World Cup 2023 with bold, attention-grabbing content that could leverage the energy of the tournament and highlight their sponsorship presence. Traditional video content was ineffective in crowded and high-noise environments—requiring something more immersive and visually disruptive.

Solution :

We designed a vibrant, fully 3D anamorphic sequence using Cinema4D and After Effects, integrating a mix of animated cricket bats, collapsing cubes, match scores, and brand elements. The animation played with the illusion of perspective, making objects appear to burst out of the physical screen space. Each element was timed with energetic physics-based destruction to grab instant attention.

Challenge :

Designing for anamorphic billboards required precise camera tracking and distorted projections to ensure the illusion only works from a single viewing angle. We also had to creatively incorporate the IndusInd Bank branding while staying true to the ICC World Cup 2023 visual language. Quick turnaround time was another major constraint.

Summary :

The result was a dynamic billboard animation that stole the spotlight across high-traffic public venues during the tournament. The project demonstrated how immersive storytelling, when combined with clever spatial techniques like anamorphosis, can elevate brand visibility at scale.
